{"id":416,"date":"2020-11-29T10:40:57","date_gmt":"2020-11-29T10:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andygawthrope.photography\/?p=416"},"modified":"2026-03-23T10:42:01","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T10:42:01","slug":"severn-bridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andygawthrope.photography\/index.php\/2020\/11\/29\/severn-bridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Severn bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I\u2019m aware a reoccurring subject in my photography is what is now named The Prince of Wales bridge otherwise and more commonly known as, the <em>new<\/em> Severn bridge or the Second Severn Crossing. In February 2019 I made one of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andygawthrope.photography\/news\/2019\/02\/03\/second-severn-crossing\">favourite square photographs<\/a> but a few months ago I thought I\u2019d have another go but from the opposite side (the North side).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The photograph was pre-visualised as colour and deliberately styled to match my earlier 2019 photograph and side-by-side they make a nice pair. But whilst the colour version is good I really like this black and white version as there are no colour distractions leaving the eye to absorb the bridge and its wonderful, bold shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Below are the colour versions.
