Severn glow

As the sun set below the distant Western horizon I was drawn to the side of the bridge whose dull, grey/brown concrete was illuminated with golden-coloured light. At the same time the bridge lights were turned-on, illuminating the water and making for a wonderful photograph.

February 2019 and the sun had set moments before over Wales and the Western horizon. A band of cloud catching the last rays of yellow sunlight illuminated the side of the bridge whilst artificial lights mounted on the bridge illuminated the Severn as it flowed rapidly beneath.
With this photograph I wanted to focus on the shape of the bridge, its strong lines and what seemed to me at the time as its serrated underbelly.
